About Charlotte

Charlotte is the most populous city in North Carolina with a rapidly growing metropolitan area.  It is home to Bank of America headquarters, Truist Financial, and Wells Fargo.  The Charlotte area is also home to a number of colleges and universities, including: UNC Charlotte, Queens University, Johnson C. Smith University, Davidson College, Johnson & Wales, Belmont Abbey College and more.  Charlotte offers an excellent quality of life, growing number of restaurants and breweries, professional sports teams, and access to the outdoors.

About CMC

Carolinas Medical Center/Levine Children’s Hospital is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health.  The hospital was founded in 1943 as a community hospital.  Since that time, it has grown to be the largest hospital in the region.  CMC is the region’s only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and is one of North Carolina’s Academic Teaching Hospitals, providing training for residents and fellows across a variety of specialties.  Our 21-bed ED is attached to LCH, the largest children’s hospital in the region.  LCH has been named a Best Children’s Hospital by US News & World Report in numerous specialties.
